ABOUT — MARTIN ZARKA

Martin Zarka is a French film director.

He crafts films as cinema — approaching each project as an authored work shaped by intention, form and rhythm.

Each subject calls for its own language. His work is to find the cinematic form that allows it to fully exist.

Rather than applying a predefined style, he develops a distinct grammar for every film, letting the nature of the subject dictate its visual and narrative expression.

Working at the intersection of fiction, brand and culture, he brings an author’s vision to commissioned projects with the same precision and cinematic ambition as independent cinema.

He is the founder of Drapeau Noir, a cinematic creation studio dedicated to author-driven films.

Through the studio, he develops cinematic works for brands, institutions and cultural projects.
